The Rawdah al-Mutahharah (Riyad ul-Jannah — Garden of Paradise) is the sacred area inside Masjid al-Nabawi between the Prophet Muhammad's ﷺ tomb and his blessed minbar (pulpit). The Prophet ﷺ said: "Between my house and my pulpit is a garden from the gardens of Paradise" (Bukhari & Muslim). Entry requires a timed slot permit booked via the Nusuk App.

The Hadith narrated in Musnad Ahmad states: "Whoever performs 40 prayers in my mosque (Masjid al-Nabawi) — not missing a single prayer — will be declared free from hypocrisy, hellfire, and punishment." To complete 40 consecutive prayers, a pilgrim must attend all 5 daily prayers in the mosque for 8 consecutive days (8 × 5 = 40). This is why many Pakistani Umrah packages include 8 nights in Madinah as an option specifically for Arba'een completion.
All major Madinah ziyarat sites are accessible by taxi from any hotel — hotel zone does not significantly affect access to these sites.

Adjacent to Masjid al-Nabawi (East)
The main cemetery of Madinah — resting place of Sayyiduna Uthman (RA), many of the Prophet's ﷺ family members, wives, and thousands of Sahabah. Entry currently men only. Open specific hours — ask your Moallim for current visiting schedule. Highly recommended for men to visit and recite Fatiha for the deceased.

"Mosque of the Two Qiblas" — the site where the Qibla (direction of prayer) was changed from Bayt al-Maqdis (Jerusalem) to the Kaaba in Makkah during the Prophet's ﷺ lifetime. Contains two mihrabs — one original Jerusalem direction, one Makkah direction. Important historical visit.

A cluster of historic small mosques near the site of the Battle of the Trench (Ghazwa-e-Khandaq). Includes Masjid Fath, Masjid Salman al-Farisi, Masjid Abu Bakr, and others. Each has deep historical significance. A half-day tour covers all seven mosques conveniently.

Madinah is flat, so within 500m is manageable for most healthy adults. For elderly or mobility-limited pilgrims, Central Zone (within 200m) is worth the premium. Unlike Makkah, the terrain does not create deceptive distance illusions — 400m in Madinah genuinely takes 5 minutes on a flat sidewalk.

Both orders are valid. The most common Pakistani package sequence is: fly into Madinah (or Jeddah) → stay in Madinah 3–5 days (Masjid al-Nabawi ziyarat) → travel to Makkah by road (~5 hours) → perform Umrah rituals in Makkah → depart from Jeddah airport. This open-jaw routing is efficient and spiritually sequential.
Women can view the grave area from the Rawdah during their designated Nusuk slot, but the main outdoor walking queue to the grave itself — the Mawajihah — is currently restricted to men only. Women pay their salutations from the northern side or during their Rawdah slots.
